Covid-19: Sucden supports the public hospital services
Sucden donates 100,000 euros to the emergency fund of Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris and provides studio flats to hospital staff in Paris with BNP Paribas Real Estate.
Since the outbreak of the Covid-19, Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP), the public hospital system of Paris and its suburbs, has been at the forefront in managing an unprecedented health crisis. An emergency fund has just been created within the AP-HP Research Foundation to support hospital staff and advance research.
Sucden decided to support the actions of AP-HP with a donation of 100,000 euros to the emergency fund.
In addition, we have secured, in partnership with BNP Paribas Real Estate Promotion Immobilier d’Entreprise, 49 studio flats close to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital in Paris for the hospital staff, whose we salute the courage and selfless devotion.
AP-HP brings together the most important expertise in France with its 39 hospitals in Paris, including three referral centers for infectious diseases (Bichat hospital, Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital, Necker-Enfants Malades hospital), The considerable volume of patients that the AP-HP teams are called upon to monitor, but also the excellence of its clinical research, make it a crucial player in the fight against the epidemic.
The objective of the emergency fund is to immediately mobilize the resources necessary to support the AP-HP teams and coordinate their actions. For the teams, the funds collected will contribute to improving working conditions and organization of care. On the research side, the fund will support teams who wish to set up research projects on viruses (virus of the Covid-19) and epidemics.
Furthermore, Sucden supports the actions of various organisations in West Africa, in particular the health department in Ivory Coast, with donations through the French Chamber of Commerce in Ivory Coast and the World Cocoa Foundation.
